Our Stories posted by Nantucket Staff

Last week we had the great idea to share a daily photo with our followers on Facebook. It seemed like the best way to give everyone a sneak peek into our lives and show behind the scenes at the Nantucket Home showroom. We hope that these pictures are as fun to follow as they are to share. Here is a recap of last week’s photos, enjoy!

Like many families, mornings are never easy at the Cook household. The rush of getting out of bed, dressed & fed on time always starts our day off chaotic. With many families this is true because of sleepy children; However, the same is true in my home, only my child is Bailey, an 8 ½ year old Boston terrier.

Since she was a puppy, we’ve called Bailey our teenager.  Always the last to wake, Bailey has been known to sleep in till 11:30 in the morning, with a record of 1pm!  And yes, she’s healthy (because I get that question all the time)—she just likes to sleep.

Here is a photo of this morning’s wake up call.  Whereas usually Bailey is out of bed around 9:15/9:30 when I am ready to leave for work, this morning we had to leave the house by 7:45 for an early morning appointment.  My husband & I were able to get Bailey out of our bed on time, but 2 minutes later when I went to grab my purse she had made it a whole 10 feet to her (& her kitty Tiger Lily’s) bed.  About 5 minutes more of coercing her up, she reluctantly started her day.

I thought this photo was too sweet not to share.
Have a great Monday! –Robin

On a frigid day in December, well past the standard "bulb-planting" time in Chico, I quickly planted a few miscellaneous bulbs around the trees of my parkway strip. Just a week ago I noticed their gorgeous pink blooms standing tall next to my yellow and white narcissus. They seem to be a double-petal flower, but their exact variety escapes me... Marci, our garden guru, thinks they might be double-petal tulips.
Does anyone else know what they could be?

Storms a brewin' in Tahoe! It certainly makes for a beautiful backdrop to the foot of snow on our path! Counting down the days to sun, reading and mimosas on the beach! Happy Egg hunting this weekend! -Claire (Our Design Associate)

Certainly one of our favorite candid pictures of Easter. Robin and Elsi are enjoying their Easter baskets, Mike is looking handsome in his bow tie and Nan is in the background deciding what else needs to be brought to the table. But wait, who's that to the left of Robin?
