"Fresh Chico farmers' market dahlias always make me happy. There is something revitalizing about a sweet summer evening or morning bike ride with friends (after gathering fresh produce from the market) - a bunch of these happy blossoms spilling from one's bike basket.
TIP: you can help your bouquet of fresh cut flowers last longer at home by using some of these handy florist tricks... bending or trimming stems while under water, splitting stems open slightly, crushing stems lightly with a hammer, putting the stems in hot water, or spraying the backs of leaves with water."
