I ran across this blog post of a kids room and I loved it so much, I just had to share!

Shannon is a mother of 5…yes, 5 children.  Four girls and one boy.  Since they live in the same house that they lived in when they just had 1 child, they decided they had to make some space and be organized about it.  In ten days, they knocked down a wall, merged two rooms into one, built a double bunk bed unit and finished the room.

Here are 4 bunk beds for the 4 girls (one is a baby, but will grow into it soon enough!).  I love the staircase in between them, to get up to the top.

Each bed has its own light and a built in shelf for books or a clock.

Shannon and her husband wanted each girl to be able to have their own space, so they have custom made curtains (besides being totally creative and an amazing designer, Shannon is also a seamstress!) to close when they need it.

I love these pillows Shannon made for each of her girls.  It’s their own silhouette.

Under the bottom bunks, there is hidden storage…so perfect for 4 girls with lots of stuff!

I love, love the wall color and you can see, in the mirror, the ceiling is a fun stripe.  Here are 3 separate dressers that they bought.  They fit absolutely perfectly along this wall…and give the girls space for their clothes.

Here’s a close up of the ceiling…and cute, feminine chandelier.

Here are their happy children!

What a fun project, with huge rewards for many years to come.  The color palette will grow with the girls and the storage solutions are genius.  The fun that exudes from this room is contagious!

Thanks for letting me share, Shannon!
